Taste the Waste Documentary in Bulgaria

The documentary was screened and discussed in the four participating schools in Bulgaria. Experts from the Bulgarian Food Bank and Slow Food Youth Network Sofia replied to questions related to food waste reduction in the country. More

Bulgaria 1st March holiday and National Holiday

In the beginning of March people in Bulgaria exchange "martenitsi" made out of red and white woven threads which symbolize the wish for good health and the coming of spring. See Photos of the martenitsi which Bulgarian students sent to Ghana @ Picasa

On 3 March 1878 the treaty establishing autonomous Bulgaria from the Ottoman empire was signed. This gave the birth of the Third Bulgarian sate. Photos from celebrations @ link

International Day of Happiness

On 20 March people all over the world celebrate the International day of Happiness by sharing what makes them happy (#happinessday wall) and thinking about what matters most in life.

The United Nations recognizes happiness as a fundamental human goal, and calls upon countries to approach public policies in ways that improve the well being of all peoples.
