Teachers from Ghana will be visiting Bulgaria to exchange experience with partnering teachers from 14-21 June.

Overcoming Poverty,

The two schools have been working on the topic of poverty and ways to tackle the causes. A photo report on situation in Ghana is available here . The students found that education is crucial to braking the cycle of poverty.

Game about fair trade 2 SOU

In 2 SOU, volunteers from the Bulgarian Platform for International Development conducted an interactive and informative game about fairness in the process of clothing production. The class split in groups had to determine what part of the t-shirt price would each stage of the production process receive. Photos @ Picasa

On 25th May the 54 countries from the African union celebrate their strive for peace and cooperation on the continent. Cyrillic Alphabet Day, 24 may

Culture and Literacy Day is a public holiday in Bulgaria marked each 24 May. On this day all schools and education institutions celebrate the significance of the Bulgarian language and the Cyrillic alphabet and commemorate its founders - the Saints Cyril and Methodius.
