Two visits from Kenya to Denmark

In the beginning of September a group of teachers and students from Kenya came to visit their Danish partner schools. The two Danish schools, Vordingborg Gymnasium and Nykøbing Katedralskole, had invited a small group of Kenyan students to join the teachers on their visit to Denmark. Both of the Kenyan schools are placed in the Kibera slum in Nairobi so for both students and teachers it was the first time they travelled outside of Kenya.

For the Danish students as well, the visit was a great experience. Rasmus Erhardsen, who is a teacher at Vordingborg Gymnasium, says:

The Danish students have realized that Africa is not just huts made of clay and that we are not that different from each other after all. It is definitely one of the big successes of the project.
